How to Apply
Scholarships are awarded through an annual application programme. The programme for 2010 is now closed (the deadline was 1st February) and the next programme will open for applications on 1st October, for awards in September 2011.

Wingate awards are never given without personal interviews which take place in London at various dates during May so applicants need to be available in person during that month. Interviews cannot be conducted by telephone. All applicants will receive either an invitation to interview or notification that they have been unsuccessful, by the end of April. Final decisions are made by the end of June/early July for awards which start the following September. Applications send from overseas are not accepted and all applicants must be contactable in the UK during the period of application (from October to July). Previous Wingate Scholarship holders cannot re-apply.
